Today in Bathroom Mondays: an elegant bathroom renovation, a DIY one, stylish light fixtures, and little loos for small bathrooms.
This is a beautiful renovation were salvaged pieces were used. The sink and bathtub were second-hand and they not only helped to add a vintage air to the whole look but also helped to save money. And that was very welcome in this case as it’s a full renovation project.
The whole bathroom was demolished and new mosaic flooring installed. A new walk-in shower was built and the walls around it tiled, but the rest of the bathroom was panelled up to half way up the wall and the rest was painted. Everything in this bathroom feels fresh, clean and airy with a touch of vintage thanks to the bathtub and sink.

Our second renovation today is a DIY remodel. The owners, him with “mad woodworking skills” and her working in an architectural firm, felt capable of dealing with the whole renovation on their and spend very little money. And just looking at the hand-made vanity for the sinks you realise they were spot-on.
The bathroom has a very open feeling thanks to the floating vanity and it’s incredibly well laid out as you can’t see any pipes underneath the vanity. They are concealed inside the wall. There are more beautiful details such as the rainshower fixture, or the industrial style closet with a sliding door. And it’s all made by the owners.
This renovation is a real pleasure to read and very, very inspiring. Jump to the article to read more and see all the photos.
