Today in Bathroom Mondays: a pattern-filled bathroom redo, a closet transforms into a bathroom, dream showers, and space storage solutions in a small bathroom.
The first article we bring you today is a small bathroom renovation. It went from very conventional and plain to having a very beautiful rustic feeling.
The basin was placed on a custom built shelf and the shower plate and screen was replaced by a built-in shower area with half height walls. The whole floor and shower area was tiled with “mismatched” Victorian style patterned tiles. There are several different patterns in the tiles but the reason they look so great together is because the patterns are all geometric and they all have the same colours.
It’s an incredibly well designed and thought bathroom, very creative. Go to the article to read more and see all the before and after photos.
If you are short of space in your house and in need of a second bathroom you’re going to find this article very interesting.
The owners of this house were in need of an additional bathroom and having an extra closet was everything they needed in order to get that. They made use of the space in the closet and transform it into the bathroom you see above. It’s an awkward space, as you can see in the photo above, but a little bit of planning and well chosen solutions was all was needed.
In order to increase the sense of space they went for a basin without a base. The toilet was fitted in the smallest area of the room, and opposite to it they even managed to place a small built-in shower with mosaic flooring. Everything is kept light and airy with the use of white tiles on both floor and walls (tilled up to waist height).
This a perfect example of working with what you have and good planning. Jump to the article to see all the photos.
