Today in DIY Fridays: an Expedit helps to get a walk-in closet, simple painting transforms furniture, and simple project help you with your gardening.
Today’s projects are all very simple but the results are impressive. The first one takes advantage of the slender shape of the bedroom to get a dream walk-in closet. The sleeping area is separated from the walk-in closet using Expedit shelving units (4×4 and 5×1). The 5×1 was sawed in order to fit over the 4×4. Wallboard was used as backing for the shelves and wallpapered over.
The result is lovely and a very efficient way of using the narrow shape of the room in the best possible way.

Sometimes you don’t need new furniture. Old furniture can be given a second life with just some elbow grease and paint. In this article you will find two projects with old furniture that gets transformed thanks to colourful paint. The first one is a pair of old shutter doors that get transformed into a kitchen organizer using hooks, and bright paint.
The second one will take you more time as it involves completely renovating a very old and tired dresser that gets a second life as a baby’s room dresser. You can see the final result above and it’s very beautiful. Sanding, painting and new knobs was all that was needed for the project.

If you have a green finger you are going to enjoy this. It’s a very simple project but it will look fantastic in your garden. It’s a very unique plant container that has been made using an old DUKTIG Doll’s bed, a TROFAST Storage box, some paint, a hammer and a nail.
And the result, as you can see above, is beautiful and very original. Who knew that toys could make such a great plant containers?

And to finish our selection of articles for today another garden container. Well actually two. The first one is so simple that even if you don’t have any DIY skills you would be able to do it. It simply involves using a big Samla Box and using some drainage holes and/or gravel at the bottom, fill out the box with soil and plants and you can grow your own salad or any other plants in a very cheap container.
The second one also involves using a storage box but this one is more complicated. It uses an ÄPPLARÖ Storage bench. You need to cover the box with plastic sheeting and create some holes for drainage at the bottom. Once that is done you can fill the box with soil and plant whatever you want growing in your garden or balcony.
It’s a terrific use of a cheap piece of furniture as a similar container for your garden would probably cost you twice that amount of money. And the result looks fantastic and more expensive than it actually is.
