Today in Kitchen Thursdays: a country kitchen becomes a classic style one, a blue shaker style one, the best colours in this room, and kitchen design from Eurocucina 2012.
There are several renovations you can do in your house that will affect the value of your property either increasing it or lowering it. Kitchen renovations or upgrades are one of those ones. Even minor renovations in a kitchen can increase the value of your house. And in this kitchen it certainly paid off not only from the decorative point of view but from the investment point of view.
If you visit the articles above and below you will find all the information about the renovation but even though it looks a very expensive one that is not the case. It was mostly a DIY project with lots of planning and research in order to get the best solutions and prices. The cabinets were the original ones painted, the countertops were replaced by something more durable and practical: granite. Lots of research went into finding all the appliances at great prices.
The result is incredible and much cheaper than it looks even if you don’t go the DIY route.

The first thing you notice when you see photos of this kitchen is the lovely blue painted cabinets. The second is how absolutely gorgeous they are. And it’s not a great surprise when you find out that the owner of this kitchen is actually a cabinet maker. You see the skills he has because those cabinets are amazing.
The rest of the kitchen is also as amazing as the cabinets. A beautiful shade of green is used on walls that combines perfectly well with the blue in the cabinets. The wooden floor tones continue in the island countertop. And the tiles used in the splashback are wonderful.
It’s a terrific kitchen with great design and great colour. Jump to the article to read more and see all the photos.
If the previous two articles have made you considered a cabinet painted kitchen but you are afraid or insecure about what colours to use then this article is what you need. It’s advice from designers regarding the different colours you can use in your kitchen and how they will affect the decor in this room. There are lots of photos to help you see each colour used in a different kitchen.
It’s practical advice that will be of great help during the planning process of any renovation project. Jump to the article to read more.
And this is the first article we bring to the blog from the cover of the Eurocucina 2012. The first we notice was the great colour in this kitchen, the second was the pattern in the cabinets. The whole kitchen looks amazing and if you add those beautiful tiles in the splashback the result is simply unbeatable.

And this is the second of the Eurocucina 2012 cover by Apartment Therapy. And we brought it to the blog because of how unusual this countertop is. Crocodile pattern is not something you usually see in kitchen furniture. You can see it in shoes or bags, but certainly not in countertops.
