Sometimes if you want to change the look and refresh your room decor the only thing you need to do is a fresh coat of paint. And this article is proof of it. A new paint colour on the walls, a couple of new pieces of furniture, a new rug and you have a complete different room for very little money. The change is amazing from warm colours to a cooler one, not too cool as the blue used in the renovation is very soft and it’s very well combined with the warm brown of the wood flooring and white painted furniture. It feels refreshing and a great place to enjoy.

And again just a little bit of paint gets this living room a completely different look. In this case the room went from pale blue to white walls and with only that and new accessories the room looks completely different.

In this case the transformation took place over a period of time, it wasn’t a few days project and the origin of the transformation were a couple of abstract paintings the owner was gifted by her father. New accessories were added little by little, and the bright colours in the new accessories, prints and pillows made the owner feel a very busy room. That meant that the walls were going to be painted white to provide a better blank canvas to all the new colour introduce by the accessories.

A great example of how to transform your living room little by little. Jump to the article to see all the before and after photos.

And from white to blue again and in this case deep blue. A TV room renovation with deep blue paint on the walls. The reason for the dark shade was to help lower the amount of light in the room and improve the TV watching experience. The blue on the walls actually gives the room a very modern look, ideal for a technology orientated room, and everything gets tied up thanks to white painted furniture and ceiling and a nice and big grey couch. Some splashes of bright colour through accessories and you have a great renovation for very little money again, proving that the best and fastest way of changing a room is a new coat of paint.

And from cheap and small changes to a full renovation. The  family moved to a new house that was a blank canvas with dated colours and no furniture of any kind. The room needed new furniture, accessories, paint on the walls etc. Fortunately they had great basics to start with: great wood flooring and a great fireplace that only needed a new surrounding. The colour palette was based on a pale turquoise, white and cream and the result, as you can see, is a very classic and elegant family room for everyone to enjoy.

This is not only a living room but the room decor in this apartment is so gorgeous we had to post it. The apartment was originally beige, way too much beige. The answer to too much neutral: going for the turquoise and coral combo. They look striking together and the contrast is so beautiful and fresh at the same time that is impossible not to like it.

The living room was decorated mainly with a coral patterned wallpaper and cream sofa. Turquoise in this case was introduced via accessories (curtains, pillows). In the dining room the combo was turned around: the walls were painted turquoise and coral was used on painted furniture (table) and accessories (prints). The colours are used all around the apartment in either the accessories or as the main colour.

It’s bright and striking and very, very beautiful. You can see more photos in the following link:
